Role Overview
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will work on projects utilizing both waterfall and Agile methodologies and gain hands-on experience in DevOps deployment and data virtualization. This role requires familiarity with big data engineering, data modeling, and data analytics, aiming to support high-performance and high-security systems across hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply project management methodologies, including waterfall and Agile, to complete projects efficiently.
• Utilize DevOps deployment and data virtualization tools such as Denodo.
• Work with reporting and visualization tools like SAP BO and Tableau.
• Implement big data solutions using tools such as Hive, Impala, and Cloudera Data Platform.
• Conduct big data engineering tasks with Python, PySpark, Linux, and ETL tools, including Informatica.
• Demonstrate strong SQL skills and proficiency in data modeling and analysis.
• Contribute to analytics and data warehouse implementations.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues, covering areas from resource management to application stack traces.
• Support systems with high availability, performance, and security in data centers or hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of both Agile and waterfall project methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and data virtualization platforms like Denodo.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and big data tools such as Python, PySpark, and Informatica.
• Experience with SAP BO, Tableau, and other reporting tools.
• Knowledge of analytics and data warehouse implementations.
• Familiarity with high-availability, secure systems hosted across various environments is an advantage.
