Job Description

The team is pioneering innovative methods to infuse intelligence across the client PC portfolio, collaborating with top-tier AI companies, academic experts, and skilled engineers to provide groundbreaking solutions that redefine user interactions.

They are seeking a Data Scientist / Architect to join the Client Solutions Group (CSG) Chief Technology Officer (CTO) team in the Singapore Design Center. In this role, you will work as a lead data scientist with a strong AI/ML focus, directing a team of engineers and leveraging industry contacts to drive CTO AI initiatives.

What You’ll Achieve
As a Data Scientist / Architect on the CSG CTO team, you’ll spearhead technical AI projects by leading a team of data scientists, AI, and software engineers focused on developing and deploying AI-enabled solutions across client devices.

Responsibilities

• Guide and collaborate with hardware and software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers to deliver complex AI/ML solutions for client devices.
• Architect tailored AI/ML software solutions, applying deep knowledge of client device ecosystems.
• Develop data pipelines across the client ecosystem and integrate ML solutions on client devices with cloud support.
• Partner with business units to translate business questions into architectures and maintain an awareness of Generative AI advancements.
• Work with marketing and engineering teams to define and execute a product roadmap, advocating for data science in all architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in AI/ML, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; minimum of Bachelor’s + 12 years, MS + 8 years, or Ph.D. + 5 years of experience.
• Advanced expertise with development in Microsoft Windows OS, including MS DirectML, WinML, and MS Graph, as well as embedded device development in RTOS.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, particularly Generative AI, and optimization techniques for resource-limited environments; proficient in deep learning libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and TensorRT.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining analytical methods to technical and business audiences.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and coaching abilities in software development or data science teams.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with cloud-based applications (specifically in Azure) and cross-functional team leadership.
• Advanced experience with Open Neural Network Exchange (ONNX) models and hardware vendor toolchains such as Intel OpenVino, Qualcomm QNN, NVIDIA CUDA, or AMD Ryzen AI Software.
