Job Description
The Senior Data Scientist will join an inclusive team, applying expertise in machine learning and advanced analytics to work on large-scale datasets in a highly automated industrial manufacturing environment. The role involves statistical modeling, feature extraction, and data cleansing. Candidates will work with time-series data, images, and datasets with evolving distributions, with the opportunity to grow their career in the field of data science while supporting the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform statistical modeling, feature extraction, and data analysis on large-scale datasets.
• Apply supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised machine learning techniques.
• Extract data from various databases via SQL and implement data cleansing and outlier detection techniques.
• Develop and automate analyses using machine learning and advanced analytical methods.
• Work with technologies like Python, R, pySpark, Hadoop, and TensorFlow to build and refine data models.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to grow in data science, particularly within an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, and feature extraction.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL; experience with Spark and Hadoop is a plus.
• Experience with time-series data, images, or datasets with changing distributions is preferred.
• Ability to work with or interest in machine learning tools and software such as TensorFlow and Tableau.
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with teams.
• Exposure to manufacturing execution systems (MES) and academic papers in AI/ML conferences is a plus but not required.
