Job Description
This role is ideal for an experienced data professional with a passion for team leadership and data analytics. As a Data Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for building and guiding a team of analysts, influencing decisions across the organization, and fostering data-driven decision-making within the Marketing department. This hybrid manager-IC role combines team management with individual contributions, allowing you to drive analytics initiatives that generate tangible business value.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of 4-5 data analysts, addressing skills gaps and facilitating growth through training and mentorship.
• Collaborate with Marketing to expand data-driven decision-making, prioritize analytics projects, and define data-analytics standards across the team.
• Partner with Data Engineering to enhance data pipeline quality, documentation, and reliability.
• Work with other analytics leads to unify data processes, tools, and quality standards.
• Plan and execute data science and analytics strategies to support cross-functional teams and enable self-service analytics.

As an individual contributor, responsibilities include:

• Lead complex projects to translate data into insights, predictions, and actionable recommendations.
• Create impactful visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
• Design and evaluate A/B experiments with clear metrics and recommendations for next steps.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to define foundational datasets for analytics.
• Analyze user journeys and provide actionable insights to address friction points.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a team, conducting performance reviews, and mentoring team members.
• Strong business acumen and ability to prioritize analytics projects for maximum impact.
• Skilled in building effective relationships with stakeholders and data partners.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis, A/B testing, and translating analytics into actionable insights.
• Expertise in SQL and experience with analysis tools like Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, and DBT.
• Experience with web analytics tools (Mixpanel, GA4) and familiarity with the Google Ads ecosystem.
• Strong skills in process standardization, stakeholder management, and strategic communication.
